Telepractice
Virtual Initial Intake 30-45 minutes long, plus in-person first treatment 45 minutes to 1 hour long.
Cupping
Cupping is a therapy widely used in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). It comprises creating a local suction on the skin using either heat (fire) and glass cups or by hand using silicone cups. It helps with pain, inflammation, blood flow, blood pressure, relaxation, and well-being.
Skin markings are common after the cups are removed, this is the result of the rupture of capillaries located under the skin. Despite the looks, the marks are painless. Except when cupping is done in a more tender location (i.e. tights). The red/purplish marks go away within 10 days.
Herbal Therapy
We use traditional herbal medicines as a dietary supplement and natural therapy. They come in tablets, capsules, powders, teas, extracts, topical ointments, and fresh or dried plant parts (and some minerals). The purpose of herbal medicine is to maintain or improve health and well-being.
Opposite to the belief that products labeled "natural" are always safe and good for the body, in fact, this is not necessarily true. Some herbs can interact with prescription or over-the-counter medicines, including other natural products, and taking them without professional monitoring can be contra-productive.
At Unleashed Vitality, we are committed to our patient’s safety and all herbal prescriptions are tailor according to the presenting sign and symptoms, pre-existing medical condition (s), the underlying root cause, and the patient’s general constitution. Our prescriptions are often taken for a short period and usually modified in the process as the symptoms change.
